Dear Potential Texas Jr Stars Bantam Supporter,
The Texas Jr Stars Bantam AA hockey team is comprised of “advanced” players born in 2004 and 2005 from all over the Austin Texas area. The Stars compete at the high level of hockey in Texas and Tournaments throughout the states.
Our Stars Teams in Austin are run as independent teams with no local support or subsidies from our Minor Hockey Associations. Our total operating budgets must be fulfilled by parent contributions and generous donations and sponsorship from our local community businesses. The average budget to operate a team in the Greater Austin Area playing and practicing out of the local rinks (Chapparal Ice and The Pond Hockey Club) throughout the 2018-2019 season will be in excess of $80,000 (with the majority of those costs being related to ice time and tournaments).
As a team we have taken on the task of fundraising to help minimize the individual player’s costs. Our focus is to ensure that every player has the ability to play at the highest competitive level as possible regardless of their family background/situation. The Austin Metro Hockey Association (AMHA) which is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization is dedicated to providing the best youth hockey program in Texas. All sponsorships will receive a receipt that may be used for tax purposes.
